Account Deletion
This page explains how account deletion works in the Dilo app. Deleting your account cannot be undone: all learning data stored in the cloud is permanently removed.
Deleting from the app
The quickest way is from the app itself; you only need to be signed in.
- Open Dilo and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears.
After you confirm, your account and its data are removed from the server and the app returns to the welcome screen.
Deleting by email
If you cannot access the app (changed phone, forgot password), you can email us your deletion request: ahmetebilgili@gmail.com
Send the request from the email address registered to your account; this is how we verify your identity. Requests are completed within 30 days at the latest, usually within a few business days.
Data that is deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following are removed from the server:
- Account details: your email address and display name (if you entered one)
- Learning data: completed lessons, review cards, XP, streak, game scores
- Your history of incorrect answers and the weakness map derived from it
- Your AI tutor chat history and daily message counter
Retained data and time frames
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and learning data | Removed from the server when deletion is confirmed |
| Server backups | Deleted records fall out of backups within 30 days at the latest; they are not restored during that period and exist only as technical copies for catastrophic data loss |
| Data on your device | Deleted when you uninstall the app or choose Settings > Reset all data |
No data is retained for commercial purposes after deletion. Dilo contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs; your data is never sold.
Before you delete
Your progress is tied to your account only and cannot be recovered after deletion. You would start over with a new account.
